A host of benefits, services, and promotional opportunities are made available to you when joining the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce:

Annual Sponsorship Packages
The Chamber offers customized sponsorship packages for events and educational forums that provide key marketing exposure for your business. Your business can be a Chamber Sponsor and realize the benefit of this partnership year long, with recognition promotion through media, web, and word of mouth referral. Please call the Chamber to discuss valuable options.

Bulk Mailing
Every month the Chamber sends out a business mailing  to approximately 350 members which contains informational or promotional fliers. The fee for this service is $75 but is included in some sponsorship packages.

Business After Hours Sponsorship

Host or co-host a networking event at a member restaurant of your choice. These valuable networking events are open to the public and hosted on the 3rd Thursday of each month with the exception of November and December. In November we do not hold an event and in December it is earlier in the month for a special holiday edition.  Please contact the Chamber office to schedule your month as they do fill up quickly. The fee to host a Business After Hours is $200 but is included in some sponsorship packages.

Constant Contact and other Service Bundling Discounts
Chamber members are entitled to a 20% discount with Constant Contact. Other bundling discounts are currently defined on an ongoing basis.

Directory Listing and Advertising Options
The Chamber of Commerce Membership Directory is a key resource for business and retail listings in every town. Our directory is printed each fall and is distributed to over 10,000 homes, and is also made available to hundreds of visitors throughout the year. Members benefit from 2 free listings (alphabetically and by category). In addition, color display ads are available to purchase or included with some sponsorship packages for greater visibility.

Event Sponsorships
Each year, the Chamber organizes vibrant events that provide opportunities for marketing and promotion of local businesses to hundreds of attendees. These events include our Kids Festival (May), Women’s Forum (May), Summerfest (July) and Giant Pumpkin Weigh Off (September). Gift Certificate Program
The Chamber of Commerce “Gift of Choice” Gift Certificate Program is available to all Chamber member businesses. This very popular program is one more way that the Chamber promotes shopping local. Over 1,000 certificates are sold annually keeping over $35,000 consumer dollars in the local economy.

Inaugural Lunch and State-of-the-Town Address
Join the Chamber at our annual membership breakfast including a state-of-the-town address by First Selectman, Rudy Marconi and the swearing in of new directors.  Typically this event is held in March and some sponsorship packages include tickets.  Ask us for more details.

Insurance
As a Chamber member, you and your employees are eligible for insurance discounts through the Chamber Insurance Trust. Visit them at www.citrust.com or call them directly at 203-795-9756.

Lobby Display
Supply your business cards and/or brochures for display in the Chamber’s lobby at no charge. Posters are also accepted for display on our bulletin board (space permitting).

Mailing Labels
If you would like to prepare your own mailing to all Chamber members, we can supply you with an Excel Spreadsheet or peel-n-stick mailing labels. The fee for each of these services is $25 but is included in some sponsorship packages.

Member to Member eBlasts
You can promote your event or announcement to fellow Chamber members with a Constant Contact eBlast. A limited quantity available and messaging is at the direction of the Chamber. $50 Set-up Fee but is included with some sponsorship packages.

Ribbon Cutting
For new members, there is a photo opportunity at the Chamber office on the second Wednesday of each month. The photo and announcement will be sent to the Ridgefield Press and other media outlets. There is no charge for this service.

DestinationRidgefield.com Website
This is the Chamber’s website and also acts as the official tourism website for the Town of Ridgefield. It contains a listing of all member businesses as a resource for residents as well as information about living, working, and visiting Ridgefield. Your business will be automatically added to the business directory listing on the website when you join. Some membership packages include page sponsorships and banner ads.  There is also special member pricing for advertising space on the website for additional exposure for your business.

Rise and Shine Breakfast Seminars
Get qualified leads and the opportunity to generate new businesses through one on one networking and strategic programming. Each member has an opportunity to present an educational seminar on a topic of interest in which you have expertise. Limited memberships are available. $300 Program Fee.

Membership Mailing List
Contact the office to order a mailing list or download it online of all Chamber members in the Member’s Only section.

Newsletters
All members receive an online subscription to the Chamber’s monthly newsletter. As a member, you can reach other businesses through advertising in the Chamber’s newsletters. For more information, contact the office at (203) 438-5992.

Complimentary Chamber Publications
Pick up a Membership Directory, and copies to distribute at your business all available free of charge to new members. All members are listed and there is great community information within this printed publication. Distributed to 12,000+ area homes and businesses annually.

SERVE ON A CHAMBER COUNCIL

If you would like to take an active role and get more out of your membership in the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce you are encouraged to serve on a Business Council and be part of Ridgefield’s Business Leadership Team. As a member of a Council you will help shape the future direction of our programming and projects. Councils have often proven to be one of the most effective networking opportunities the Chamber offers. Councils are open to members in good standing plus you must be active in the discipline of the particular Council. Advisory Council – The advisory council meets monthly at one of our member locations.  The council is comprised of members who provide professional support services to individuals and other businesses and also serve as mentors in organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club and Founders Hall.  There is a separate member fee to join this Council.  See the Chamber events calendar for the next meeting.

Retail Council – This group is responsible for assisting the Chamber and town with Shop Local campaigns such as “Shop Where Your House Is” and the “Shop Local, Eat Local, Give Local” pledge.  The council is comprised of Ridgefield shop owners who understand and exemplify the local mission.

Non-Profit Council – The non-profit council meets monthly except for July and August.  The location of the meetings differ and so it is best to visit  Chamber events calendar for the current month location.  This group focuses on how charities can aid each other, generate funds, and attract volunteers.

Health & Wellness Council – The health and wellness council meets on the first Monday of each month at 8:15 am at an assigned location for networking, sharing best practices, and ensuring that residents and visitors are aware of the abundance of options in Ridgefield which promote a healthy lifestyle.  This Council also assists the Chamber in organizing an annual Healthy Living Expo in the Fall. There is a separate member fee to join this Council, and businesses are welcome to attend 2 complimentary meetings before joining.

Rise N Shine Networking Group – Join this Chamber-affiliated networking group who meet on Thursday mornings from 8-9 AM.  Their purpose is to build strong professional relationships, exchange internal and external leads and referrals, and share success stories with their peers.  They are currently recruiting new members in many industries (one member per industry) including but not limited to: Accountant, Attorney, Commercial Realtor, Electrician, IT Provider, Manufacturing, Painter, etc.  There is a separate member fee and application process to join this Group.
